February 1, 2018
Greetings Husky Nation!
On Monday, February 5th we will begin the registration process for the 2018-19 school year. I am excited to announce the implementation of the Aurora High School Career Pathways Program that we will be implementing in the fall of 2018. The Career Pathway program is an intentional and supportive Career Education Model that will provide students career education opportunities for all students. The model is focused on six Career Clusters supported by the Nebraska Department of Education. It is our goal to provide students skills so they can transition seamlessly from high school to college, tech school, military or the workforce. Ms. Hasenkamp and I will be explaining the Career Pathway program to all students grades 9-11 starting with juniors on February 5, sophomores – February 12 and freshman – February 19. Please take time to discuss the Career Pathway program with your student as they register for classes. A complete explanation of the program is included in the Student Registration Handbook that your student will be provided at their registration meeting. Please do not hesitate to contact me at school if you have questions or would like to meet to discuss your students career options.
