You will need to have the following paperwork completed and submitted to the office before you can practice.

You are responsible for purchasing your own uniform.  Please refer to the 2016 Schedule tab on this website to see what we will be wearing for each meet. You will have the opportunity to purchase a new red and white shirt this year.  This is not required if you have shirts from last year.  It would be a good idea to have the following articles of clothing in addition to shirts:

  • Gray, White and Black Pants
  • White shorts
  • Compression ColdGear Top
  • Warm Tights for under pants

  • Be on time. Practice starts at 4:00 pm and concludes at 6:00 pm, unless otherwise noted.
  • Treat practice as an opportunity, not an inconvenience
  • You will play like you practice, practice well
  • Set a high standard for yourself and teammates
  • Don’t rush through drills to be done, take your time
  • Practice after practice.  I only have you for brief period of time.  Personal commitment in golf will lead to favorable results


  • I only have you for 8 weeks, a couple hours a day.  I need you to invest time on the weekends and in the offseason to become a better golfer
  • You will be expected to be at every practice until the end.  Other activities cannot take the place of scheduled practice time if you expect to be on the team.
  • Unexcused absences will not be tolerated.
  • We will be scoring on Monday and Thursday to begin the season.  This allows me to determine our top five varsity and junior varsity golfers. The other days of the week are dedicated to drills and competitive challenges either on the range or practice greens.  If you are absent when we score, you are missing an opportunity to compete and challenge your teammates for a competitive position.
  • Replace all divots
  • No carts allowed during practice.  I highly encourage that you walk when you play.  Golf is meant to be played walking, not riding.
  • Fix your ball mark, and two others when on the green
  • Only play one ball from the fairway
  • Be responsible when unsupervised, you are representing your school when on the golf course. If you cause problems, I will be the one who hears about it.  Please don’t let that happen.
  • No sunflower seeds 
  • Do not drop flagstick on green, place gently on collar.  Instead, place flagstick gently on the collar.
  • Do not cut in front of members, and allow members to play through if needed during your round.
  • Time limit for rounds is 1:55.  I will collect scorecards after that time on scoring days. Slow play will not be tolerated.
  • As a member of the golf team, you are allowed the privilege of playing the course for free.  If you would like to continue playing after the season. You will need a junior membership (unless your family has a membership).
  1. Play in at least two varsity competitions with a score of 85 or lower, OR
  2. Medal in a Varsity competition

Athletes must finish season in good standing (see below), or letter will not be awarded.

I use Remind101 to communicate information.  This service allows me to send text messages to our athletes.  Players are unable to respond to these text messages. If you, as a parent, would like to sign up for this service and receive my texts, please follow the directions below.

A. Initiations and hazing by members of classes, clubs, athletic teams, or any other organization

affiliated with the district are prohibited except as otherwise permitted by this policy. Any

student engaging in hazing or non-approved initiations is subject to discipline as permitted by

B. Initiations are defined as any ritualistic expectations, requirements, or activities placed upon

new members of a school organization for the purpose of admission into the organizations,

even if those activities do not rise to the level of “hazing” as defined below. Initiations are

prohibited except by permission of the superintendent.

C. Hazing is defined as any activity by which a person intentionally or recklessly endangers the

physical or mental health of safety of an individual for the purpose of initiation into, admission

into, affiliation with, or continued membership in any school organization. Hazing activities

include, but are not limited to, whipping, beating, branding, an act of sexual penetration, an

exposure of the genitals of the body done with the intent to affront or alarm any person, a lewd

fondling or caressing of the body of another person, forced and prolonged calisthenics,

prolonged exposure to the elements, forced consumption of any food, liquor, beverage, drug,

or harmful substance not generally intended for human consumption, prolonged sleep

deprivation, or any brutal treatment or the performance of any unlawful act that endangers the

physical or mental health or safety of any person.
